As at the end of Fourth Quarter 2024, the total number of TV operators authorised by the National Communications Authority (NCA) to operate in Ghana is 181. Out of the 181 TV stations,

  • 7          Digital Terrestrial Free-To-Air Television Programme Channel (Regional Coverage)
  • 8          Digital Terrestrial Radio Service on TV Multiplex
  • 3         Satellite Television Broadcasting (Pay TV Direct-To-Home Bouquet)
  • 8          Satellite Television Broadcasting (Free-To-Air Direct-To-Home Bouquet)
  • 104       Satellite Television Broadcasting (Free-To-Air Direct-To-Home Single Channel)
  • 1          Digital Cable Television
  • 1          Television over Internet Protocol (Pay TV)
  • 1          Subscription Management Service for a Satellite Television Broadcasting (Pay TV Direct-To-Home Bouquet)

A total of 133 stations are currently broadcasting as at Fourth Quarter, 2024.

Analogue Terrestrial Television Stations are TV stations that is transmitted as analogue waveforms and received using common aerials on a TV set. These stations are being migrated from analogue to digital to comply with the Geneva 2006 Agreement of the International Telecommunications Union.
