Dr. Abdul-Majeed Iddrisu is the Director for Regional Operations at the National Communications Authority (NCA).Previously, he served as the Acting Director of the Information Technology (IT) Division from April 2020, after holding the position of Deputy Director in the same division.
He is a distinguished technology professional with over fifteen years of experience specialising in technology, sales, commercialisation, and the promotion of accessible technologies.
During his tenure at the IT Division, Dr. Iddrisu provided strategic leadership, ensuring cost-effective and efficient service delivery. He was instrumental in implementing policies that enhance data security, drive technological innovation, and streamline core business processes. Notable among his achievements is the deployment of cloud-based communication tools that facilitated remote working during the pandemic, the upgrade of NCA’s network infrastructure, and the digitisation of client records through a centralised database.
Before his leadership role at the NCA, he made significant contributions in academia as a full-time lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Legon, where he taught various programs and supervised numerous student projects. His academic background includes a Doctor of Management from SMC University, Switzerland, and an LLB degree from Mountcrest University College, among other qualifications.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Iddrisu is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Internet Society of Ghana and the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana. His commitment to continuous learning is evident through his numerous certifications, including Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals and Administrator Associate, as well as specialised training in 5G technologies and IT infrastructure.
