May 30, 2025 -The National Communications Authority (NCA) today welcomed about 150 students from the Department of Communications Studies of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to its Head Office, the NCA Tower in Accra as part of an industry study tour.

The visit, led by a senior administrative assistant from the Department, aimed to provide the students with hands-on practical insights and other learning opportunities to inform their career choices.

Dr. Charles Amoah-Wilson, Director of Human Resource at the NCA, welcomed the students to the Authority and used the opportunity to encourage them to remain curious and open-minded as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. He emphasised the importance of using such opportunities as stepping stones to explore possibilities and build meaningful careers.

During the visit, the students were taken through a series of presentations highlighting the NCA’s mandate, core functions and key regulatory initiatives. The interactive sessions were designed to deepen the students’ understanding of the country’s communications sector.

To give them a closer look at the technologies and systems that support the Authority’s work, the students, in addition to the presentations, toured selected facilities within the NCA Tower including the Broadcasting Monitoring Centre (BMC).
